Balmoral: It’s An Honour!
It’s An Honour!
Community is such an important part of Balmoral. It has been since we welcomed our first residents in 1984. And it continues to be as over 950 residents have called Balmoral ‘home’ since then.
Not only does Balmoral cherish its unique and vibrant community within the landscaped gardens of Ridge Road, Wantirna South, but many of our residents contribute enormously to the broader community around us.
It’s with great pride that we celebrate Balmoral resident, Noel Addicoat.
Knox City Council awarded Noel the prestigious “Senior Citizen of the Year” for 2023. In the words of Knox City Mayor, “The award honours amazing, everyday people who have gone above and beyond. They are the heart and soul of our community.” Recipients are recognized for their generosity, passion, dedication and significant contribution made to the local community.
Noel has been specifically honoured for his volunteer service with the Council’s ‘Meals on Wheels’ for over 19 years. As a dedicated volunteer, Noel is committed and passionate about caring for vulnerable members of our broader community. He has observed, “for many, the human contact is almost as important as the meals!”
His fellow volunteers have reflected that Noel is a supportive team member and is always willing to help other volunteers.
From Balmoral, congratulations Noel! What an achievement. What a legend.
