The Balmoral Cup Challenge
Balmoral has always had strong ties with local community. None more so than with the Vermont South Bowling Club.
As a long-time sponsor, Balmoral appears in the bowls handbook, on signage around the club, and in the regular newsletter to members. But for Balmoral, the most important connection, and one that runs deep, is the many (many!) members – past and present – who are both members of Vermont South and residents of our village.
So it was with great pleasure that we launched the inaugural “Balmoral Cup Challenge” at the Vermont South Bowling Club.
The challenge will be run over 10 weeks, is an open handicapped nominated triples event, and has over $1,000 in prize money to be won together with weekly prizes. With limited places, teams filled quickly with a long-list of reserves ready if required!
The launch was abuzz with excitement. Participants enjoyed a Balmoral welcome ‘showbag’ – packed full of treats – as Vermont South committee representative, Spiro Agius, introduced the challenge and Balmoral managing director, Robin Forster, wished participants well. With the greens full, the first jacks were rolled. Let the challenge begin!
The Balmoral Cup Challenge runs from 5 April to 7 June 2023.
